Annual General Meeting

Members of the Rainy Lake Conservancy...

will hold their Annual General Meeting Sunday, August 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. CDT at La Place Rendez-Vous, Fort Frances.  ZOOM meeting will also be available. Save the date!

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Michael Rennie, a Canada Research Chair in Freshwater Ecology and Fisheries at Lakehead University's Department of Biology, as our guest speaker at this year’s Annual General Meeting. A short business meeting will follow. If you would like to attend the AGM, please email info@rainylakeconservancy.org if ZOOM call-in details are required. 

This is an opportunity for guests to learn more about the Rainy Lake Conservancy and for members to catch up on the activities of the Conservancy. Each year Conservancy members vote to fill 3-year rotating positions on the Board of Directors, and each year the Board members appoint their Executive Officers for the coming year. The president presents the Board of Director's report, and special speakers address topics as varied as biodiversity studies, fluctuating water levels in the Rainy Lake basin, water monitoring programs, and customs and border regulations for seasonal residents.
